Overview
In 2021, Bruno Angelini, together with Fabrice Martinez and Éric Echampard, created "Transatlantic Roots", a programme devoted to American counterculture, in which the track Cage's opening was dedicated to the creative duo of John Cage and Merce Cunningham.
This blend of contemporary harmony, groove, electronics and improvisation made him want to develop this aesthetic across a whole repertoire. This was the starting point for Constellations.
Géraldine Laurent, Fabrice Martinez, Éric Echampard and Bruno Angelini are musicians whose complementary qualities let them combine varied moods and styles of playing, offering multiple possibilities: speed, vigour, lyricism, poetry, abundance, complex rhythms, collective improvisation… A constellation of possibilities.
Bruno Angelini - Keys, compositions. Fabrice Martinez Mendez - Trumpet, flugelhorn, electronics. Géraldine Laurent - Alto saxophone. Éric Échampard - Drums
