C'est si simple l'Amour - Charles Berling - Tournée

A title that sounds like an oxymoron. Opening night at a major theatre in Stockholm. The two leading roles are played by Alma and Robert, a couple both offstage and on. This show marks Alma's grand return to the spotlight. The celebration carries on in their living room, in the company of Hedda, Alma's friend and an actress who has been sidelined for several years, and her husband Jonas, a psychologist. Alcohol loosens tongues and lowers inhibitions, and Alma and Robert settle their scores, though in truth they settle nothing and only deepen the abyss of resentment that separates them: they hurl the most wounding words at one another, under the amused and then uneasy gaze of Hedda and Jonas. When it comes to reproaches and low blows, they are not far behind. Infidelity is one of the great themes of this battlefield. In this great unburdening, there is no victor, only the vanquished, wounded by life, frustrated at no longer acting or at having had no children.
