Chorégraphie & Pièce de théâtre

Contemporary dance and theatre meet to question the movements of intimacy and those of History. An evening inhabited by ruptures, impulses, and revolutions, grand or discreet.

First part (choreography): Ôdalavie, Cie: Human Ôdalavie is a contemporary dance duet exploring parenthood and relationships. Two exhausted, loving, worn-out bodies. Love holds, falters, strikes. Fatigue accumulates, violence erupts, desire transforms. In the friction of bodies, dance becomes a place to survive, to get lost, to find oneself.

Second part (theatre): Révolution(s), Cie: Les Embouti.es What goes through the mind of someone entering a revolution? What does it mean to “enter a revolution” for ordinary people, witnesses and actors of historical upheavals? What are we willing to lose or risk, of ourselves or others, of our values or our lives, when history is thrust upon us? Our protean show asks these questions by staging the French Revolution seen from below, by those who lived it.
