In a nutshell: for almost sixty years, this East Coast American company has built a repertoire spanning both the "classics" (Petipa, Nureyev, Balanchine, John Cranko…) and some of the great names of contemporary dance (William Forsythe, Jiří Kylián, Wayne McGregor, Mark Morris, Christopher Wheeldon, Jorma Elo…).
That alone speaks to the high level of technical skill this company and its dancers bring to such a diverse repertoire, worthy of the world's greatest ballet companies.
Now they return with two of the most interesting choreographers of their generation, Alexander Ekman and Akram Khan, both regulars at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées. TranscenDanses is co-produced by Productions Internationales Albert Sarfati and Théâtre des Champs-Élysées.
