David Castello-Lopes - Délicieux (Tournée)

Presented by Corpus Prod. NEW SHOW « DÉLICIEUX  » I nearly called this show « Le plaisir  ». Then I thought that the only pleasures people would think of at a title like that would be those forbidden to under-18s.

Yet, for financial reasons, I want under-18s to be able to attend my show too. So I called it « Délicieux  »: it is a family show. In an hour and a quarter, I will try to untangle the complexity of what brings pleasure to human beings.

Of course pleasure can come from a glass of chasselas sipped slowly on the lakeside in spring. But it can also be caused by the death of someone you don't like. Of course an unexpected promotion within the company brings joy.

But so does eating gruyère in Gruyères, or knowing, when you are French, that you don't pronounce the "z" in Étivaz (which lets us correct, with relish, all the duffers who get it wrong).

My aim is for this show to give you a certain pleasure, in a mise en abyme as delicious as eating gruyère in Gruyères. David Castello-Lopes
