Death Valley Girls have been making their mark since 2014 with their proto-punk sound, which they call "California Doom Boogie."

On their latest album, Islands in the Sky, Bonnie Bloomgarden, the band's leader, uses the band's anthems as a guide to spiritual healing and a roadmap for future incarnations of the self. The resulting music is by far the most infectious and festive Death Valley Girls have made to date.
