Overview
The child or the art? The life of a dancer laid bare by Juliette de Roméo.
In her brilliant solo, Irish performer Emily Terndrup blends intimate confession with a reflection on the concerns of a woman dancer. Must motherhood banish artistic creation? Create or procreate? That is the question! Emily Terndrup tackles it with sincerity and self-mockery.
With the help of Dr Frankenstein, she examines the situation of the artist-mother, faced every day with choices… monstrous ones. The piece has enjoyed enormous success, winning three awards in Dublin. Also to be seen as part of the Focus Irlande. Thomas Hahn
