Et Pendant ce Temps Sigmund Freudonne

Directed by – Gil Galliot With Trinidad- Sébastien Fouillade – Marin Langlois- Patrick Mazet – Clément Vieu – Nicolas Jazat Duration: 1h30 In 2012, following the Strauss Kahn affair, I created “Et pendant ce temps Simone veille”, which tells the story of women in France from the 1950s to the present day, through four lines of women across four generations. This show was for me a duty of remembrance to recall where we come from in order to avoid returning there. One day a friend whispered in my ear: « You should do the same for men!  ». Immediately the idea appealed to me. My idea of feminism has always been to move forward together, men and women hand in hand. But as much as when you put three women on a bench for an hour, they tell each other their lives, men gathered on a bench for a lifetime barely tell each other an hour! So I wanted, in a humorous and musical tone, to try to break through the silence of men and their difficulties in being a man throughout history, by entering the masculine universe, accompanying four lines of men over several generations, with Miss Freud as the common thread, narrator of this evolution of the masculine condition and a point of connection between the different male characters.
