In an ancient forest stands the nightingale tree, a centuries-old tree now threatened with felling. During a decisive night, three characters find themselves there and see their stories intertwine. Chiara, a lonely young child, flees the village to take refuge in this tree, which she considers her secret hideout and sanctuary. Astrée, a schoolgirl passionate about her grandfather Lucas's wonderful stories, loves to come to this forest during the holidays to rediscover the magical world of her childhood. Finally, Sylvain, a former lumberjack turned security guard, knows the forest and the nightingale tree intimately, as he used to come there with his father and grandfather. Together, they become aware of the importance of preserving this symbol of memory, nature, and transmission in the face of the threat hanging over it…
