Overview
Presented by La Salle de Spectacle La Caravelle, in co-production with La Manufacture-CDCN.
PROMENADE OBLIGATOIRE brings together eight hip-hop dancers specialising in popping, a dance style made of precise, jerky movements, freezes and optical-illusion tricks that give the body an almost mechanical quality.
Together, they cross the stage without ever stopping, as if carried along in one continuous movement. As the show unfolds, the bodies draw closer, join, separate, then find one another again. The dancers create powerful, hypnotic images, balancing precision, tension and energy.
Carried by electronic music with an industrial edge, this visual, immersive creation questions how we live together in an ever-moving world.
