Overview
In partnership with GROUPE VOCAL ARPEGE, a cappella or with a full orchestra, in programmes of early or contemporary music, in classical or unconventional venues, the Groupe Vocal Arpège from Bordeaux explores a wide repertoire for the enjoyment of all audiences.
Among Mozart's works, the Requiem holds a singular place: it goes beyond a simple Mass for the Dead and stands as a musical testament, of timeless force and depth. Composed in the last months of the composer's life, this masterpiece expresses with rare intensity the grandeur faced with the mystery of death. Left unfinished — we will hear here the version completed by his pupil Franz Xaver Süssmayr — this Requiem fully embodies the universality of Mozart's musical language, crossing the centuries with an emotion that remains entirely intact.
