With this show, the Dutch company Hotel Modern pushes the limits of invention and fantasy, examining our humanity through a keyhole, zooming in and out of the small theatre of everyday life: funerals, births, a bar, a petrol station or a nightclub… Every setting is possible, every situation recreated in miniature and filmed live.
Blending live film, object theatre and live performance, Histoires de crevettes is an experience like no other.
Through the lens of small pink crustaceans, which we're more used to eating than watching, we get a close look at the little nothings of our tragicomic lives as earthlings.
