Il Risveglio - L’éveil
To get back up, one must first have fallen.
Il Risveglio - L’éveil at La Friche La Belle de Mai (13000 Marseille), 3 dates from 16 to 20 March 2027.
Checked on 22 October 2026.
Overview
To get back up, one must first have fallen. Pippo Delbono knows this better than anyone, he whom grief laid low when his partner died. So, for once, the author, actor and director tells of his fears and anxieties, drowned in the melancholy of a cello.
It is as sad as a funeral march, as sad as war, suffering and the pain that surround us. Should we sink, or awaken?
Pippo Delbono has made his choice. Little by little the music turns joyful, dance takes hold of the bodies, carrying us, still groggy, into the whirl of life. Like an Italian Renaissance.
Conception and direction: Pippo Delbono
With Dolly Albertin, Margherita Clemente, Pippo Delbono, Ilaria Distante, Mario Intruglio, Nelson Lariccia, Gianni Parenti, Pepe Robledo, Grazia Spinella and Giovanni Ricciardi (cello and musical arrangements)
