Janis
Janis is back!
Janis at Théâtre Les Bernardines (13001 Marseille), 5 dates from 16 to 20 February 2027.
Checked on 26 October 2026.
Overview
Janis is back!
The icon of the Beat Generation makes her grand return to the stage and to this earthly realm; the only snag is that she has come back in a body that is not her own. No matter: the actress who serves as her physical vessel performs as though she were born a Joplin. Indeed, confusion sets in, so true is the voice that recounts the all-too-short trajectory, strewn with doubt and loneliness, and that sings, accompanied on guitar by Jérôme Castel.
Woven through with interviews, letters and recordings of the singer, the text written by Nora Granovsky reinforces the illusion. On the road again, Janis!
With Juliette Savary, Jérôme Castel
