Since 2015, Paris Réseau Danse has supported and accompanied artists in the creation and dissemination of their choreographic pieces. Over four days of performances, a programme highlighting the diversity and vitality of contemporary creation is offered. Shared stage.

dear de Johana Malédon dear is a piece born from an epistolary correspondence between a choreographer and a set designer, developed between Paris and Berlin. Each builds a world from a distance, before confronting it on stage.

The project was born from a desire for encounter, but also from the observation of a gap: between two practices, two temporalities, two ways of acting.

Where choreography unfolds in the present of the body, set design often operates upstream, in the shadows, by modifying the conditions in which the body evolves. On stage, these logics do not overlap. They coexist, rub against each other, shift.

Between the transformation of space and the adaptation of the body, their actions intersect, diverge, or miss each other. From concrete blocks, a common space gradually emerges, through manipulations, weight, fatigue.

Gestures move the material, sometimes break it, leaving traces, dust. The body engages with it, seeks support, loses balance, starts again. Some actions are prolonged, others remain suspended, as if awaiting a response.

Between effort, repetition and transformation, a tension sets in. How to create together in a space that does not facilitate encounter? How to make room for a softness that does not give itself? The piece progresses like an attempt.

It takes its time, follows the shifts, insists where there is resistance. To stay in relation, even when everything doesn't align.
