Krystall : hommage à la saxophoniste Helene Arntzen

This tribute to saxophonist Helene Arntzen brings together several performers to explore the classical and contemporary repertoire of the instrument.

This concert brings together on stage saxophonist Carl-Emmanuel Fisbach, who specialises in the classical and contemporary repertoire, along with Philippe Portejoie, Sebastian Volco, Luciana Elizondo and Léo Teruggi. Together, these musicians highlight the figure and work of saxophonist Helene Arntzen through a demanding programme that spans eras and aesthetics.

On stage, the ensemble presents a set attentive to writing for saxophone, mixing concert pieces and chamber music works. The line-up showcases the diversity of timbres and writing styles that Helene Arntzen explored over the course of her artistic career.

This evening is aimed at lovers of classical music and at curious listeners keen to discover the many facets of the saxophone. The Espace Culturel André Malraux hosts this programme in a setting well suited to attentive listening to these repertoires written for wind and string instruments and their associated ensembles.
