Overview
In a parallel Quebec where the Portneuf region has become the epicentre of spiritual tourism, a group of strangers sets off on a pilgrimage in the footsteps of the Saint-Timothée miracle, in pursuit of personal development.
Through a mosaic of scenes revealing the moments of stagnation in their journey, the group confronts the detours, individual and collective, planned and unplanned, which gradually come to seem like the only way forward.
Caught between an anxiety-inducing closed-room drama and existentialist comedy, Détours is a reflection on the need for hope and the usefulness of faith.
"J’veux aider, j’veux sauver, j’veux donner autre chose qu’une fin Oui c’est ça que j’veux Un début criss Un début ça serait l’fun à donner"
