Le Premier Homme

A delightful comedy about the place of the man within the couple and about the inner workings of politics.

HE is a philosophy teacher. A master of thought and of the word, used to holding forth on wisdom and the vanity of things, content with his everyday life, all in all. SHE is the head of a company. She juggles a life of decisions and action, and also that of a mother and a "perfect" wife, smoothing life for everyone, without any member of the family really being aware of it. Everything is normal. And then... SHE is appointed minister. Almost by accident, one thinks, or by political game, after all one must have women, isn't that so, on the occasion of a reshuffle that led the sitting President to draw from the pool of civil society. The unexpected irruption of politics into their daily lives is going to shake up the cards of their masculine and feminine identities... and political ones! He is going to become "The First Man" just as others have been "the First Lady". In short, it's going to sting...

After Brigade Financière, "Le Projet Poutine" and "Danton Robespierre les racines de la liberté", a delightful comedy by Hugues Leforestier about the place of the man within the couple and about the inner workings of politics.
