La Jalousie - Tournée

Presented by Arts Live Entertainment, « La Jalousie  », the legendary play by Sacha GUITRY, staged with an elegant production by Michel FAU and with flamboyant costumes and sets, thus pays tribute to this iconic figure of French theatre.

A respectable civil servant comes home; he has just been unfaithful to his wife and searches for every possible excuse to explain his lateness... It is then that he realises his wife has not yet come home either!

Caught in his own trap, he is overcome by an uncontrollable fit of jealousy, which plunges him into a fleeting and absurd obsessive delirium.

This deliciously cruel text explores with panache, in the tradition of boulevard theatre, the torments of vanity and the mechanisms of jealousy...

Between finely chiselled dialogue, burlesque paranoia and jubilant reversals, Michel FAU offers us a colourful vaudeville, a satire as funny as it is biting!
