Overview
Presented by Arts Live Entertainment, « La Jalousie », the legendary play by Sacha GUITRY, carried by Michel FAU's elegant staging and dazzling costumes and sets, pays tribute to this iconic figure of French theatre.
A respectable civil servant comes home; he has just been unfaithful to his wife and searches for every possible excuse to explain his lateness... That is when he realises his wife has not yet come home either!
Caught in his own trap, he is overwhelmed by an uncontrollable fit of jealousy, which sends him into a dazzling and absurd obsessive delirium.
This deliciously cruel text explores with panache, in the tradition of boulevard theatre, the torments of vanity and the mechanics of jealousy...
Between finely honed dialogue, burlesque paranoia and jubilant reversals, Michel FAU offers us a colourful vaudeville, a satire as funny as it is biting!
