Le Cid Pète un Câble

A playful and educational adaptation of Corneille's Le Cid.

"Two years ago, I took my children to see a classic play… And they didn't understand a thing! Why? Because they didn't have the references! I wanted to introduce them to it and I had just put them off it. That's when the idea came to me to rewrite Le Cid, a story of teenagers torn between "I love you" and "my father is going to kill me" - in short, a story of today's teenagers, written in the 17th century, which I rewrote in a (de)constructive spirit, entirely in alexandrines! As my sons put it, it's a D.I.N.G.U.E.R.I.E.!"

Caroline Vigneaux
