« Le Pouvoir de l'Anneau » à la Seine Musicale

Cast: Conductor: Constantin ROUITS Mezzo-soprano: Airelle GROLEAU Orchestre Colonne Programme: SHORE: The Lord of the Rings WAGNER: The Ring Without Words THE INVITATION TO THE VOYAGE: a mystery work to discover during this concert Amid the clash of great legends, Richard Wagner and Howard Shore answer one another through music.

This concert weaves a sonic bridge between The Lord of the Rings and the Ring Without Words, where heroic motifs, dramatic tension and orchestral atmospheres reveal parallel worlds.

The orchestra becomes the thread linking Valhalla and the Shire, gods and hobbits, heroes and giants, in an epic, lyrical breath.

Orchestral surges, dramatic accents and sound colours reveal surprising correspondences: charges, whispers and tragedies intertwine, while brass, strings and percussion carve out legendary landscapes.

Hearing Wagner and Shore side by side lets us perceive how motifs, dynamics and orchestral textures echo one another, revealing that great epics share common forms and energies.

Like an echo of these works, L'Invitation au voyage, a small illumination, will come as a surprise to the listener and extend the musical dialogue between Wagner and Tolkien, offering one last flash of light and legend.
