Le Témoin

A wedding speech brings secrets to the surface. But this time, when the expected speech comes, Thomas has written nothing. Everything is inside him. Everything is ready to burst out. From the secondary school where he met Vincent to the first nights in nightclubs, from the baccalauréat to the holiday in Greece, Thomas remembers everything. He is the son of a manual worker. Vincent comes from a wealthy background. Everything seemed to set them apart, and yet the years bound them together. But beneath the memories, a buried event is coming to the surface. Little by little, the speech takes a turn. The comedy cracks, the words slip, and a truth emerges. A chilling truth, long kept silent, of which Thomas was the witness. Alone on stage, facing the guests as well as the audience, he turns this moment into a space of revelation. What was meant to be a celebration becomes a moment of upheaval. "Le Témoin" explores memory, silence and responsibility. What do we do with what we have seen? At what point does one become an accomplice by remaining silent? Blending humour, tension and emotion, the show draws the audience into a direct experience, in which each person is invited to listen, to feel... and to take a position.
