A Unique Duo in Paris

Souvenir d'un lieu cher

Léonard Schreiber and Itamar Golan, who are playing together in Paris for the first time, meet at Cortot for a programme that traverses the great colours of the European repertoire. From Ravel to Prokofiev, from Saint-Saëns to Tchaikovsky, this recital highlights their musical complicity, in an approach that is free, sensitive and deeply alive. Between lyricism, virtuosity and poetry, the two artists explore a repertoire they know intimately, with that simplicity and intensity that make the great chamber music evenings. Léonard Schreiber will soon record a new concerto by the composer Alexey Shor for Naxos, with the "Kiev Virtuosi" orchestra under the direction of Dmitry Yablonsky.
