After numerous experiences as a sideman and participation in multiple collective projects, Martial Bort unveils his first personal group, L'Instanté, a trio that constantly seeks total musical freedom, within a framework imposed by demanding composition requiring rigor and virtuosity, blending writing and improvisation.
Phrases, melodies, motifs and written rhythms are twisted, deconstructed or developed to play "instant" music, constantly reinvented by the instrumentalists.
The trio format, effective, pared down, without frills, leaves room for creativity and permanent interaction between musicians.
