Overview
After many experiences as a sideman and his involvement in numerous collective projects, Martial Bort unveils his first personal band, L'Instanté, a trio constantly in search of total musical freedom, within a framework set by composition that demands rigour and virtuosity, blending writing and improvisation.
Written phrases, melodies, motifs and rhythms are twisted, broken down or developed to play music "of the moment", constantly reinvented by the musicians. The efficient, stripped-back, no-frills trio format gives way to creativity and constant interaction between the musicians.
The rapport between the three improvisers promises listeners a beautiful, sun-drenched sonic journey, somewhere between the wild energy of a rock band and cinematic atmospheres. Martial Bort - Guitar, compositions Olivier Hestin - Drums Tom Caudelle - Saxhorn, flugelbone
