Born on 2 May 1983 in Viña del Mar, Chile, Mon Laferte is a Chilean-Mexican singer-songwriter and visual artist. Endowed with a powerful and distinctive voice, she has established herself as one of the essential figures of the Latin American music scene.
Her musical world, as rich as it is eclectic, boldly blends pop, alternative rock, blues, bolero, cumbia, ranchera and traditional Latin American music.
An artistic identity that is free and exuberant, driven by an intensely emotional delivery and lyrics that explore love as well as social and political questions. First brought to a wider audience with the album Mon Laferte Vol.
1 (2015), she confirmed her international success with La Trenza (2017), Norma (2018) and Seis (2021). Honoured several times at the Latin Grammy Awards, she continues to push her musical exploration with Autopoiética (2023), then Femme Fatale (2025) and Femme Fatale Vol.
2 (2026). A committed artist, Mon Laferte maintains an uncompromising artistic personality, at the crossroads of genres, cultures and emotions. A magnetic performer whose creativity and stage power have won over audiences well beyond Latin America.
