One of La Dolce Volta label's vocations is to identify and offer a debut recording to the most promising musicians. Enthusiastic reports reached us about Georgian pianist Salome Jordania (born in 1996) – who studied at the Juilliard School, Yale, and the Guildhall School – from the Piano aux Jacobins Festival in Toulouse, where she made a significant impression in 2022, leading to an invitation to return the following year. More than positive rumours… We have since followed her on her social media, met her during her concerts in France, and were captivated by an artist who embodies a new generation of performers, captivating with their sensitivity and virtuosity. As she asserts her talent on the global stage, we naturally brought her into the studio and invited her to present her album at the Salle Cortot. With Passage, Salome Jordania offers a spiritual and breathtaking journey through Liszt, Scriabine, and Saariaho. Between mysticism, darkness, and a quest for transcendence, she explores the shadows and light of the human soul through a program of rare intensity, conceived as a true inner odyssey.
