Sand Chopin

Texts by George SAND, compiled by Bruno VILLIEN

Performed by Macha MÉRIL

Music by Frédéric CHOPIN

with Erik BERCHOT at the piano

For nine years George Sand and Frédéric Chopin shared a love elevated by their talents. Writing and music went hand in hand at Nohant. Macha Méril takes up, among other texts, extracts from Histoire de ma vie, a visionary autobiography in which Sand sets out her art of being a woman with profound intelligence. At the piano, under the fingers of Erik Berchot, Chopin's sensitive ardour finds its voice. A legendary duo whose work returns here for our everlasting pleasure.
