Tcha Limberger & Liana Gourdjia - Jazz Not Jazz

Two exceptional worlds meet: classical grace and the soul of jazz

When classical excellence meets the genius of jazz and traditional music.

It was at the B-Classic festival in Belgium that the paths of two exceptional artists crossed: violinist Liana Gourdjia and multi-instrumentalist Tcha Limberger. From this artistic encounter grew a rare musical complicity, founded on listening, improvisation and a deep curiosity for the musical traditions of the world.

Winner of several international competitions, Liana Gourdjia has established herself as one of the outstanding personalities of her generation. A sought-after soloist and chamber musician, she performs on the greatest international stages alongside legendary artists such as Martha Argerich and Misha Maisky.

Tcha Limberger is regarded as one of the greatest musicians on the European scene today. A virtuoso of the violin, guitar and voice, heir to the Manouche and Central European traditions, he transcends the boundaries between jazz, Gypsy music, folk and improvisation. His exceptional mastery and musical imagination make him a unique figure in the contemporary musical landscape.

Together, they create a fascinating dialogue in which the rigour and elegance of the classical tradition meet the freedom of jazz and the richness of popular music.

Among reworked pieces, inspired improvisations and moments of pure emotion, this concert promises an intense, generous and deeply human musical experience.

A summit meeting between two artists whose worlds, though different, come together in a shared quest for beauty and freedom.
