The Haunted Youth - Boys Cry Too Spring Tour

The Haunted Youth, the band led by Joachim Liebens, may be the biggest Belgian indie rock sensation of recent years. Following the resounding success across Europe of their first critically acclaimed album, Dawn of the Freak, their highly anticipated new album, Boys Cry Too, was released on 8 May 2026.

Boys Cry Too, Liebens' second album, is out today. From the imposing eight-minute opening track, in my head, which ends with his heartbreaking screams amid howling feedback, through to the final ghostly chord of ghost girl, Boys Cry Too takes the listener on a journey of striking emotional intensity through loss, despair, grief, anger and hope. It is a record fuelled by emotional turmoil, as evidenced by the self-destructive roar of deathwish or the rebellious punk energy of forget me, yet it also reveals a raw vulnerability, perceptible in the crystalline beauty of emo song and hurt, as well as in the emotionally raw confessions running through Liebens' lyrics.
