Thomas Poitevin - Yaourt

If life is a song, many of us are busy making a yaourt of the lyrics. We launch ourselves in without knowing everything, we improvise, we tinker, we do our best to keep singing along with the others to the very end. But the result is often chaotic, a little embarrassing and, above all, very funny. There is, in this Yaourt, an effort to live, to live together, to do our best, to answer the constant injunction to do better, to be better.

La Yaourt can be the touching clumsiness of trying to communicate one's desire, the sprawling newspeak of the office, the confession that takes a roundabout path, the zany instruction manual of a self-help method..

All the characters in this show make a yaourt of the words of their lives...I play men, women and a child, who burst onto the stage in great pomp or in a gust of wind, their fancies and their need for sharing always directed towards the audience. It is a one-man show with a very crowded cast!
