Trio MBM - Happy Birthday

Discovered in the 2000s, multi-instrumentalist pianist and composer Paul Brousseau has worked and performed alongside Louis Sclavis, Marc Ducret, Stefan Pasborg, David Linx, Ramon Lopez, Francesco Bearzatti, Simon Spang Hanssen, as well as ONJ. He has regularly come to present his projects at Le Triton and returns this time for a birthday concert. If Paul celebrated his thirtieth birthday in 2006 with Kolkhoze Printanium, it is for his fiftieth that he will present a brand-new trio that runs entirely counter to everything known of him and his productions until now.

MBM is a very open trio whose core expression is to revisit the great jazz standards, from Chaplin through Duke Ellington, Miles Davis or Bill Evans. On this occasion, Paul will welcome mystery and distinguished guests, soloists who will be revealed on social networks over the coming months... It promises to be a lovely evening!

« After my electro experiences I returned to keyboards. I wanted to challenge myself with more traditional forms, these famous songs that became standards. With Alban and Anthony, I opted for a rhythm section firmly rooted in that tradition, but with the spirit of openness and sharing that keeps it always alive and very much current.  » – Paul Brousseau
