A. De Lierrée

ASSOCIATION OPUS 87 (2-1045340) Western Rhapsody Bobby Dirninger is a rare artist: a Frenchman whom Chicago has adopted. For years, he played the blues where the blues was born, alongside musicians who had no reason to make room for him. He eventually earned theirs.

He reunites with Artuan de Lierrée, a classical pianist and composer steeped in Morricone, Zappa and John Zorn, as well as the Quatuor 1001 Notes, a new-generation ensemble that approaches Dvoøák with the same freedom as electronica or rap.

And what if the great American West had a classical soundtrack? From Dvoøák to Morricone, from Gershwin to Bernstein, Western Rhapsody traverses the founding myths of America while blurring every musical boundary.

American quartet, Concerto pour Harley Davidson, Il était une fois dans l'Ouest, West Side Story, bluegrass medley: a show without a safety net, festive, virtuosic and deeply free.
