Overview
For Christmas Eve, everyone gathers around Bernadette, a colourful mother who dotes on her sons, especially her "little" youngest… The evening begins as it always does when they meet, with the squabbling of the three brothers who, despite their age, still vie for the matriarch's favour.
But an unexpected announcement will disrupt dinner, provoking the anger of one of them, who then decides to go buy cigarettes to calm down. Hours pass, but he doesn't return. Five years later, as the family toasts in his memory, he comes back, thinking he had only been gone for five minutes…
