Overview

This show revisits Andromaque, a tragedy from the classical repertoire, whose plot turns on Hector's widow and the passions that run through the court of Epirus. The genre is classical theatre: verse language, restrained emotions and power relations tightened around a small number of characters.
The cast brings together Jordan Czech, Claire Maui Cottignies, Maïlys Desforges, Sacha Toledano and Mina Vilaire, around the character of Andromaque. On stage, the performance relies on the text and the acting of the performers, without any other artifice announced.
The Théâtre Clavel, located in the 19th arrondissement of Paris, is a performance venue. This play is aimed at those who love classical tragedy and the alexandrine, and it will find its place in the programme of this Parisian theatre.
