Le Songe d'une nuit d'été

The Théâtre Clavel is staging A Midsummer Night's Dream, a great classical comedy by William Shakespeare.

This masterpiece of the classical repertoire plunges audiences into a fantastical world where the realm of mortals and that of the forest spirits intertwine over a night full of mix-ups.

On stage, the company of Alice Bouyer, Estelle Darry, Isaline Lalloué, Léa Loïc and Mathieu Tanguy brings to life the lovestruck wanderers and the enchanted characters of this romantic and farcical plot.

This show is aimed at lovers of theatre and heritage texts, eager to rediscover the poetic and satirical wit of the Elizabethan playwright. The staging makes the most of the comic mechanics of the work while respecting the original structure of its five acts. The audience takes its seats in the warm auditorium of the Théâtre Clavel, a cultural venue firmly rooted in Paris's nineteenth arrondissement, ideal for closeness between actors and spectators.

Altogether, this is an accessible theatrical production, perfect for discovering or rediscovering a timeless classic of dramatic literature in conditions conducive to listening and sharing.
