Overview
Swedish band Self Deception and Spanish outfit Ankor share the stage at Petit Bain for an evening dedicated to contemporary music.
Formed in Sweden, Self Deception has been part of the rock scene since its beginnings in the mid-two-thousands. The band released its first album, Restitution, in 2009, establishing the foundations of a direct and melodic sound. Ankor, for its part, hails from Tarragona in Spain. Founded in 2003 by young musicians who were still teenagers at the time, the group has developed an identity rooted in alternative metal, marked by the release of its first album, Al Fin Descansar, in 2008.
On stage, the two acts offer a concert format built for a clash of styles, combining the efficiency of Swedish rock with the power of Spanish metal. The set alternates between recent tracks and songs from their respective catalogues, driven by direct instrumental execution.
This Paris date is aimed at fans of melodic rock and alternative metal curious to discover two European approaches to the genre. The Petit Bain venue hosts the event in its usual standing-concert configuration along the Quai de la Gare.
