AS PART OF THE 30TH EDITION OF THE VILLES DES MUSIQUES DU MONDE FESTIVAL, Ashs The Best, real name Elhadj A. Tiaré, is a Senegalese artist born in the suburbs of Dakar. Born into a musical lineage, his father being a member of the legendary reggae group NIOMINKA BI, Ashs The Best was immersed in a music-filled environment from childhood. This early immersion in the musical world forged his passion and talent, driving him to explore and develop his skills in lyrics and rhyme, laying the foundations for his future career in Senegalese hip-hop. In 2013, he adopted the stage name Ashs The Best and fully launched his music career. His unique style, which skilfully blends rap, jazz and acoustic sounds, allows him to stand out on the Senegalese music scene. He quickly made a name for himself with hit tracks such as Wétoon Na, Gadaay and, more recently, Ayway Samba, which have won over a wide audience.
