Babylone

The Algerian group Babylone takes to the stage of L'Olympia for a concert devoted to its world music.

Formed in Algeria and active since 2012, the group Babylone has gained recognition for a musical proposition blending traditional sounds with contemporary influences. Their compositions are characterised by acoustic melodies and lyrics sung in Algerian dialect, which have quickly found an echo with a broad audience well beyond their country of origin.

On stage, the line-up offers a set lasting between an hour and a half and two hours, carried by several musicians and stripped-back arrangements. The dynamic of the concert alternates between rhythmic numbers and more relaxed sequences, allowing the vocal harmonies and the guitar to be showcased. Live arrangements remain faithful to the recorded versions while offering a reinforced acoustic presence.

This Parisian date appeals to lovers of contemporary North African music as well as to audiences curious to discover contemporary French-language and Arabic-language repertoires. The welcome at the L'Olympia venue will follow the great tradition of this boulevard des Capucines, with a seated and standing configuration depending on the seats chosen when booking.
