Wednesday 16 September 2026 at 20:00 + Thursday 5 November 2026 at 20:00
What if celebration were an act of resistance? A danced and musical lecture, Breque invites us to enter the rhythms and movements of samba as a living language, socially and historically situated. Here, the lecture takes the approach of understanding that comes first through experience and dialogue. Lisa Biscaro Balle, choreographer-performer, and Rayra Marciel, percussionist, bring together their personal experiences and research to plunge us into the joyful, plural and deeply political heart of this dance.
