Weeping in order to emancipate oneself, to reach joy or revolt: this is what Lou Cantor proposes with the solo version of Stabat Mater. A solo that is not entirely one, since, although the choreographer is alone on stage, she traverses through her body the stories of many women she has met. Through their tears and their cries, Lou Cantor invites us to experience emotions without shame. A dance with baroque accents that offers a certain history of women in tears and that asserts their right to be seen, heard and considered.
