Carmen Maria Vega

Singer and actress Carmen Maria Vega presents her French song universe on the stage of the Forum in Alfortville.

Since the release of her eponymous first album in 2009, the Franco-Guatemalan artist Carmen Maria Vega has developed a demanding musical path, rooted in the great French tradition of lyric-driven song while incorporating contemporary arrangements. Signed to the AZ label, the singer has made her name through incisive writing and a strong stage temperament that characterise her entire discography.

On stage, Carmen Maria Vega offers a direct, theatrical set, nourished by her dual background as an actress and performer. Surrounded by her musicians, the artist favours a frontal interpretation in which the precision of the texts engages in dialogue with a rock-infused, organic energy. This tour offers the chance to rediscover her repertoire in intimate concert conditions.

This evening is aimed at lovers of text-focused French song and of committed performances. The configuration of the Forum encourages closeness to the stage, allowing the audience to appreciate the rigour of this vocal and musical work in the best listening conditions.
