Chanel Beads' second album, Your Day Will Come, shares its title with the first release of this experimental project, which came out in 2024 and brought it to a wider audience. But it is an entirely new work, not a sequel, a repeat or a reinterpretation. Whereas his initial intention was to mock the system that divides music into chapters, Shane Lavers discovered, as the tracks took shape, that the title held deeper nuances, evoking the tug-of-war between certainty and doubt that haunted him. Although the phrase is delivered with conviction, a slight shift in intonation can give rise to unsettling ambiguities: Will your day come? What will it look like? How can you be sure?.

Support act: urika's bedroom

Guitar in hand, urika's bedroom settled in Los Angeles in 2018 and began playing with various groups with hybrid sounds, forging fruitful creative collaborations and producing tracks for artists who share the same sensibility, such as untitled (halo) and Ded Hyatt. In autumn 2023, the artist invited audiences into an intimate world with "Junkie" — a "radiant and tender first track" (Gorilla vs. Bear) that "pierced the digital sphere through the very essence of existence" (FLAUNT). Shortly after this first release, urika's bedroom went on to tour alongside Youth Lagoon, Nourished By Time, Chanel Beads and Perfume Genius.
