Thanks to the recent discovery of a few rare scores, Contre-temps is a joyful and whimsical musical lecture on the incredible and little-known life of François Courdot, a French artist exiled in the United States. The show is an exhilarating plunge into the history of operetta and the musical in the twentieth century, richly illustrated with airs from the repertoire as well as extracts from the singular work of this extraordinary artist. Two benches, a piano and a trio of passionate performers, and we are swept along with delight into the rollicking life of this versatile composer.

Theatre, jazz, operetta, history, musical theatre, romance, biography, travel... there are a thousand reasons to love this musical gem, which takes us from Mozart to Gershwin, from an opera by Gounod to the musical Hair.

"An irresistible entertainment." Tatouvu

"A lively, brilliantly crafted show that never stops surprising, and you leave with stars in your eyes." Froggy's delight

"As disconcerting as it is hilarious!" Le Canard enchaîné
