Overview
An exhibition running from 2 to 20 November that spotlights the pupils of the Conservatoire Hector Berlioz!
An unprecedented collaboration. The exhibition Corps et Accords grows out of the coming together of the Conservatoire du 10e Hector Berlioz and three photographers. This partnership takes shape through exchanges between the Conservatoire and the Centre Paris Anim’Jean Verdier (CRL10). The project then takes concrete form through the cultural association Images O Pluriel and the three photographers who are members of it.
Images O Pluriel aims to keep photography and video alive and to let them flourish in all their forms. It champions the view that visual expression is a powerful vehicle for culture, dialogue and sharing. Images O Pluriel runs photo and video workshops at the Centre Paris Anim’Jean Verdier.
An artistic take on the Conservatoire du 10e
At the Conservatoire Hector Berlioz in the 10th arrondissement, photographers Céline Bonnarde, Christian Campion and Sophie Campion turn their gaze on two disciplines that echo each other. Céline captures the musicians of the Conservatoire's Big Band during a jazz concert at the Petite Halle de La Villette: the listening, the rhythm, the dialogue between the instruments, each player's place within the ensemble and the space left for interpretation. Sophie and Christian, for their part, follow the dancers during a classical ballet class: the learning, the repetition of movements, the precision of postures, but also the attention paid to one another and those moments when individuals come together in a shared movement. Three artists, three perspectives intertwining to tell a single reality: learning alone and progressing together, mastering in order to let go, up to that fragile moment when a learned gesture becomes an artistic one and, from the individual to the collective, emotion is born.; Credits: Sophie Campion
Individuality does not disappear into the collective: it feeds it.; Credits: Celine Bonnarde
Repeat a gesture. Again and again.
