Overview
Presented by Vedettes. Founding member of Joy Division and New Order, Peter Hook was recently inducted into the prestigious Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as part of the 2026 class, following a vote in which fans of both bands took part, among others.
PETER HOOK & THE LIGHT announce a French tour in spring 2027, during which the band will perform in their entirety the two Joy Division studio albums, Unknown Pleasures and Closer. Released in 1979, Unknown Pleasures was followed a year later by Closer, whose recording was completed shortly before the death of Ian Curtis, ahead of a posthumous release in 1980.
Since then, these two legendary albums have regularly ranked near the top of lists of the greatest albums of all time, compiled by critics and public alike. They laid the foundations of a legacy that continues to endure: an iconic visual identity, whose sleeves have inspired millions of T-shirts, a production by Martin Hannett, as precise and visionary today as it was at the time, and two albums that remain a major influence on nearly all of the most significant bands of the past four decades. © Vedettes
