Overview
Presented by Cap - Vallée de la Marne. Between 1974 and 1984, more than 3,500 Chileans fleeing Pinochet's dictatorship found refuge in Romania. Among them were Anna, Ivan, Sol and Nelson. Destierro tells their incredible stories.
A story of exile, uprooting and even of the painful transformation into a "being from nowhere".
Drawing on personal and historical archives, Daniela Labbé Cabrera brings to light their emblematic journeys, which recall an important truth: behind the great upheavals of History, there are always lives, heart-wrenching choices and the unwavering quest for a better future.
Daniela Labbé Cabrera is an outstanding storyteller who transcends the tales to invite us together to live in peace.
