Less than two years ago, Dressed Like Boys was still a name to discover. Since the release of its first album in August 2025, the project of Belgian singer-songwriter Jelle Denturck has enjoyed a meteoric rise, blending elegant pop, soul and indie influences. Six nominations at the MIA Awards, two wins, a European tour and standout performances at Rock Werchter, Best Kept Secret and OLT Rivierenhof, with two sold-out shows: Dressed Like Boys has quickly established itself on European stages.
And the story is only just beginning. Its second album, And Then I Woke Up, will be released in spring 2027. Inspired by Buddhism and Taoism, it explores identity, freedom and that universal quest for emancipation.
