Overview
Editors are back with a brand-new single, “Call It In”, and have announced tour dates for 2027 across the UK and Europe. “Call It In” marks the band’s first new track since their 2022 studio album EBM.
It grew out of studio sessions held between Tom Smith’s first solo album, There Is Nothing In The Dark That Isn’t There In The Light, and the band’s ongoing live shows.
Evolution has always been at the heart of Editors’ music across their seven studio albums, and “Call It In” offers a glimpse of the next chapter for one of the most iconic bands in the UK.
Speaking about the single, frontman Tom Smith said: “We spent a large part of summer 2025 locked away in the Gloucestershire countryside, working on songs together as a band in a room, in a more traditional band setup. ‘Call It In’ is one of the most recent tracks we worked on.
” The track is available now via Play It Again Sam and comes with a music video directed by the band’s guitarist, Justin Lockey.
