The day after a great fire has devastated the Forêt des Ondes, at the foot of the imaginary Hautes Aigues massif, the life of the small village of Chantrionde is thrown into turmoil. As the drought persists and weighs on rural life and farming activity, an inquiry seeks to shed light on the mysterious origin of the fire, which broke out deep in the mountains. Meanwhile, the villagers prepare for the summers to come. Sacha, a young carpenter marked by the fire, enlists at the Chantrionde fire station. We follow her integration into the team of volunteer firefighters, while we also plunge into the heart of the challenges facing mid-mountain territories alongside a mayor and a forester trying to restore their forest, a gatherer who has seen his land go up in smoke, and a young farmer taking over the family farm… "Feu la Forêt" tells the story of this village on a tightrope stretched from one summer to the next, where each person tries in their own way, alone as well as together, to rebuild life on top of the ashes, and to take care of it.
